Cherry Brandy


1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup pitted cherries or raspberries
1 cup good quality brandy


In small saucepan, combine the sugar and water and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.

When syrup has cooled, stir in brandy and cherries. Pour contents into large jar with tight fitting lid.

Store in a cool dark place for 2 or 3 months.
