Bright, zesty, and just the right balance of sweet and spicy, this honey ginger marinade brings bold flavor to any dish. Fresh lime juice adds tang, honey provides natural sweetness, and ginger gives a warm, aromatic kick, while a touch of red pepper flakes keeps things lively. Perfect for chicken, pork, or beef, this versatile marinade can also double as a basting sauce while grilling.
INGREDIENTS:
6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon grated ginger root
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
METHOD:
In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients until smooth and well combined.
Pour marinade over chicken, pork, or beef in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Turn meat to coat evenly.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
If grilling or roasting, reserve a small portion of the marinade before adding raw meat. Use the reserved portion to baste during cooking.
