Homemade Seed Crackers

These crisp, gluten-free seed crackers are packed with flavor and wholesome ingredients. Made with a blend of seeds, chickpea flour, and a touch of olive oil, they bake into golden, crunchy pieces that pair beautifully with cheese, dips, or charcuterie. They’re equally delicious as a healthy everyday snack.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup mixed seeds (flax, hemp, sunflower, pumpkin, chia, sesame or poppy seeds)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, but nice!)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup chickpea flour
2 tablespoon olive oil
1/3 cup very warm water

METHOD:

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Place all the dry ingredients into a bowl; add the olive oil and warm water and stir until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.

Place the mixture on a parchment sheet lined baking sheet. Cover with a second piece of parchment or cling film.

Using a rolling pin, roll (and spread) the mixture to until it’s 1/4 inch or thinner.

Remove the top layer of parchment or cling film. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Allow to cool and break apart in irregular pieces.
