Tangy Dijon mustard, smooth honey, and a splash of white wine come together in this simple yet flavorful marinade. Balanced with garlic and soy sauce, it’s both savory and slightly sweet—perfect for tenderizing and adding depth to chicken or lamb. You can also brush it on as a basting sauce while grilling or roasting for a glossy, flavorful finish.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Dijon mustard
1 cup dry white wine
3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup honey
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
METHOD:
In a medium bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, white wine, olive oil, honey, garlic, and soy sauce until smooth and well blended.
Pour marinade over chicken or lamb in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Turn meat to coat evenly.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight for fuller flavor.
If using as a basting sauce, reserve some of the marinade before adding the raw meat and brush onto meat during cooking.
