Bright, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, this versatile dressing combines the bold flavors of fresh ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame with a touch of honey for sweetness. The result is a zesty, restaurant-style dressing that elevates everything it touches — from crisp salads and slaws to grilled seafood and roasted vegetables. Quick to make and endlessly adaptable, it’s a kitchen staple worth keeping on hand.
INGREDIENTS:
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh ginger root, minced
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted (optional)
METHOD:
Place all ingredients in a salad dressing shaker (or glass jar with a lid). Cover the jar with a tight-fitting lid, and shake vigorously, or until all the ingredients are well combined.
Use with finely shredded cabbage and add a handful of chopped peanuts for Asian-inspired cole slaw. Or, drizzle dressing over grilled or baked salmon.
