Amen Bee Honey Cranberry Sauce

Lynne says, “I love to make this sauce and usually double the recipe for my family. I like to use the orange blossom honey because it cuts the sharpness of the cranberries. Not only is this perfect for your holiday dinner, its wonderful on vanilla ice cream, too!”

INGREDIENTS:

1 bag of organic cranberries
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice (Tarrocco or blood oranges complement the cranberries very well)
3/4 to 1 cup Amen Bee orange blossom honey
Zest of one orange, divided

METHOD:

In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, water and orange juice and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Turn heat down, cover and simmer until the cranberries begin to burst, about 6  8 minutes. The sauce will thicken slightly.

Remove from heat and stir in honey and half the orange zest. Cool and refrigerate. When ready to serve, garnish with the rest of the orange zest.
