Olive Oil Herb Dip

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cloves garlic, minced and mashed
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Aged balsamic vinegar, if desired

METHOD:

Place the oregano, basil, rosemary and salt in a small bowl and stir to combine. Add crushed garlic, stirring to combine and moisten the herbs.Transfer herb mixture to a small shallow dish or ramekin. Pour olive oil over herb mixture. Stir slightly. If desired, add a few drops of high quality, aged balsamic vinegar.

Use as a dip for slices of fresh ciabatta or francese bread.
