This Caribbean hot sauce features fiery habanero peppers, mango, vinegar, honey, allspice, cumin, and ginger flavors. Serve it with grilled chicken, shrimp, fish, or pork tacos.
INGREDIENTS:
5 habanero peppers, chopped
1 ripe mango, peeled and chopped
1 small white onion chopped (about 3/4 cup)
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup filtered water
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 teaspoon salt
METHOD:
To the bowl of a food processor, add all of the ingredients. Process the mixture until smooth.
Add the mixture to a large saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cool. Decant sauce into individual small sauce bottles or a jar.
YIELD: 30 servings
